Swimming at Pio Pico

100 days of camping Day #2

Yesterday was moving day, a long (2hrs) hot drive from Menifee to Jamul, just east of San Diego. Our RV made it without any major complications, but we did have to pull over for a few minutes a couple of times. We had some vapor lock in the engine and there is something wrong with the batteries and the starter, because we keep having problems with both. Anyway, it was so nice to arrive safely at Pio Pico, and we were THRILLED to find that they have upgraded their internet connections AND there was a spot on the south side available, which is where the full hook-ups are. So we are fully connected on both accounts, and Michael has cell reception through Samsung's "WiFi Calling".

We ended the day with a quick dip in the pool. We love Pio Pico's X-large family jacuzzi because it's pleasantly very warm, but not too hot for the little kids, so we all can enjoy it together. They have an adult pool where we hear the jacuzzi is very hot, but for us, the family pool is where it's at. It's so fun to swim at night when we don't have to worry about getting a sun burn, and the lights from the pool cast their enchanting magic across the water. I had to steal a kiss. 🙂

It has also been fun to look at Jupiter and Venus as they draw near to each other on the horizon. I'm excited for June 30th, when they'll look like a double-star.
