The first boy had it done in the hospital, was done in less than ten minutes and had no problems, nor did he seem to even care that it had happened. Our second son had his done two weeks later in the doctors office… it took over 40 minutes and he screamed the entire time. He also had issues with a skin adhesion which got infected, as I was not made aware of the fact that it could occur and didn't take the precautions I should have. It was very painful for him and I am not sure that I want to deal with it again in future children. But, I know another who have said she circumcised because she really felt uncomfortable having this conversation with her young son, and having to teach him how to properly clean himself. Understandable. It really is a personal choice, and the government needs to get out of personal business.
