All-Purpose Honey Roasted Apples

The Honey Roasted Apples recipe is a delicious way to help you use and preserve your harvest. Makes about 5 cups - 12 medium apples
- 1 Tbs lemon juice
- 4 Tbs brown sugar, 2 Tbs white sugar
- 1-2 Tbs honey [raspberry flavored honey gives the best flavor]
- pinch of salt
- dash of cinnamon
Core and chop apples. Toss with lemon juice, salt, sugar, and cinnamon.

For APPLESAUCE - Place recipe in a baking pan (9x12 in). Drizzle lightly with honey. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes, then let cool. Put it all in a blender and puree. Freeze in ziplock freezer bags. Or, pack into pint or quart jars, cap jars and process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes. For APPLE CRISP - Place recipe in a baking pan (9x12 in). Drizzle lightly with honey. Sprinkle lightly with flour. For topping, combine 1 c. flour, ½ c. oatmeal, ½ c. packed brown sugar, and 1/3 c. melted butter. Sprinkle topping over prepared apples in the baking pan. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes. For APPLE PIE - Use 12 large apples. Add ½ c. flour when tossing with lemon juice. Then place in unbaked pie crusts and drizzle with honey before placing top crust.
