Party Pinwheels

by Susan Lott

You can make about 5 dozen Party Pinwheels with this recipe.

  • 1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 4 Tbs. milk
  • 1 small clove garlic, crushed (or, a dash garlic powder)
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • salt to taste
  • dash celery seed

Set aside 5 large flour tortillas

Mix all ingredients well. Pick your add-in recipe from the list below, add all ingredients, and mix well.

Warm tortillas. Working one at a time, spread filling onto tortillas and roll up. Trim edges and place rolled tortillas in gallon-size ziploc bag. Freeze for at least 1 hour.

About 2 hours before serving, remove rolls from freezer. Partially thaw for about 10-15 minutes. When rolls are thawed enough to slice, cut each roll into about 12 slices. Arrange the party pinwheels on a serving platter and let thaw completely before serving. You can do this up to a day in advance and keep them under saran wrap in the fridge overnight.

NOTE – Any of the below fillings make a great cracker dip too! Omit milk if a firmer texture is desired (to make a cheese ball).
